Empowering local Asian cultural, educational, and community programs through small-grant partnerships.
About the Program
The Twin Cities Asian Fair Community Partnership Grant provides modest financial support for locally led projects that celebrate Asian culture, empower youth and families, and build connections across our communities. We partner with local grassroots groups, nonprofits, and student organizations to amplify cultural vitality in the Twin Cities year-round.
Funding Amount
Typical Award: $300 – $500 per project.
Larger Projects: Special grants exceeding $500 may be considered for exceptional initiatives with broader community reach and deep impact.
What We Support
We welcome applications for community-designed and operated initiatives, including but not limited to:
Cultural competitions & social activities (e.g., Mahjong, Go, Chinese chess)
Arts & exhibitions (painting, calligraphy, photography, crafts)
Performing arts, dance, music, and cultural workshops
Educational, language, or traditional heritage programs
Youth, family, and senior community gatherings
Asian food and culinary education events
Multi-community and cross-cultural collaborations
Eligibility
Local nonprofits, community organizations, cultural groups, schools, student associations, or established informal community groups.
Projects must serve the local Twin Cities community and align with cultural, educational, youth, or community engagement goals.
Funding is paid directly to organizations/groups rather than individuals.
Programs must not support or oppose political candidates.
Partnership & Recognition
Cross-Promotion: Feature Twin Cities Asian Fair as a community partner on event flyers, social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WeChat, etc.), or newsletters.
Asian Fair Outreach: Help share major Asian Fair promotional updates leading up to our annual festival.
Post-Program Summary: Submit 2–5 event photos and a brief 100–200 word summary after event completion.

Supporting the Next Generation
In addition to the festivities, the Asian Fair proudly continues its commitment to youth through the Asian Fair Scholarship Program, recognizing local high school students who demonstrate leadership, community service, and dedication to making a positive impact.
